Blood Pressure of Korean Infants and Children

Abstract
In attempt to establish the blood Pressre values of normal korean infants and children ranging between the first day of birth and six years of age, blood pressure measurement was carried ont in resting and exciting states during April, 1958 through october, 1960
The total number of persons measured was 1316 including 771 males and 545 females.
The results of this observation were as follows;
(1) The mean blood pressures of male were higher than those of female and gradual elevation of mean blood pressure was noted with the increase of the age.
(2) The normal blood pressure in younger age group revealed wider range of distribution than those of older age group.
(3) The mean blood pressures which were measured in exciting or crying states were higher than those of resting state and this difference of blood pressure measurement was in the increase of the age.
(4) The mean blood pressures of normal korean infants and children were lower than those of the Americans in both systolic and diastolic pressure in all age group,
